Disabling Autoplay / Autorun for CD's

Windows 95 Permanently Disabling Autoplay :
To prevent Windows 95 from automatically playing your audio CD's,
1. Start Explorer
2. Select 'View/Options/File Type'
3. Scroll through the list until you reach 'AudioCD'
4. Select that listing 5. Press the 'Edit' button
6. Select the action 'Play'
7. Press the 'Edit' button
8. Delete the command "/play" after CDPLAYER.EXE
9. Press 'Okay'
10. Press 'Close'

Or
Disabling Autoplay and Autorun of CD's
1. Right-click on 'My Computer'
2. Open 'Properties'
3. Choose the 'Device Manager'
4. Double-click on your CD-ROM
5. Select the 'Settings' tab
6. Uncheck 'Auto insert notification'
7. Click okay until closed, and restart Windows 95
